Children's Mental Health Week 2023: resources available now

With less than 3 months until Children’s Mental Health Week 2023, we're excited to release our free resources to help everyone get involved.

For this year’s theme Let’s Connect, Place2Be is encouraging children (and adults) to connect with others in healthy, rewarding, and meaningful ways.

Around five children in every classroom have a mental health problem and many more struggle with challenges from bullying to bereavement. Whether you’re someone who works with children, a parent or carer, passionate about spreading the word, or keen to raise vital funds for Place2Be, you can get involved and help us reach as many people as possible.

Free resources for schools and colleges

Our free resources for schools and colleges are now available, including assembly guides, slides, group activities, fundraising ideas, and more to help schools and youth groups explore the theme of Let’s Connect.

Filter by age range to find resources that will work best for the children and young people you work with – with resources available for children aged 4-18 this year. All of the resources are also available in Welsh, and our videos with British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation.

Free resources for families

Parents and carers play an important role in their child’s mental health. We've shared some top tips, and activity ideas, to help you and your family take part in the week.

Dress to Express

Help to make this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week the biggest and best yet by organising a Dress to Express fundraiser. The idea is simple – use colour to express yourself during the week by wearing a colourful outfit and donating £2 to Place2Be.

Download our free Fundraising Pack to find out how your school, organisation, friends and family can get involved, and help raise vital funds for children’s mental health.

Spread the word

We'd love your support to help us spread the word and raise awareness of the importance of children's mental health. Download our free social media guide with template posts, downloadable images and more ideas to inspire you.

If you are tweeting and posting about the week, be sure to tag Place2Be in your posts and use #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek.
