Great North Run 2024

8 September 2024

Location: Newcastle

Distance: Half Marathon, 13.1 miles

Take part in one of the world’s biggest half-marathons.

Become one of 60,000 people to take on the Great North Run 2024 in September this year. Whether you're an experienced runner or a beginner, this is a half marathon you must experience!

Most importantly, you'll be helping to ensure that no child has to face mental health problems alone.

Take part in this televised event which starts in Newcastle city centre. The course takes in the iconic Tyne Bridge, goes through Gateshead passing the famous international athletics stadium and finishes in the coastal town of South Shields. Live music, the Red Arrows flying over your head, on course refreshment and thousands of cheering supporters will keep you motivated every step of the way.

Missed out on a place this year? Join our fantastic cheer squad and help cheer on our runners to make them feel amazing and appreciated.

I already have a race place and would like to run in aid of Place2Be

Successful in the ballot? If you've already secured your own ballot place in the event via the event organisers, we would love to have you in the squad! There would be no extra entry fee and you can set your own fundraising target.

If you're not sure what type of place you have, please get in touch on events@place2be.org.uk
