Arts & Minds Gala Dinner

A celebration of art and mental health

We created the Arts & Minds Gala Dinner to shine a light on the vital role that art can play in developing children's resilience and their connections with each other. The luxury event takes place every two years and features:

  • a champagne drinks reception
  • a three-course dinner
  • fine arts
  • spectacular entertainment
  • a silent auction.

Arts & Minds brings together guests for a night to remember - all while raising vital funds for children and young people's mental health.

Arts & Minds Gala 2024

On 13 June 2024, we held our second-ever Arts & Minds Gala Dinner at Battersea Arts Centre. The event was hosted by actor Alistair Petrie, star of Netflix's hit show Sex Education. The night featured performances from:

  • Kate Melua
  • Laura Wright
  • students from our partner schools.

Guests were also treated to the live creation of a spectacular artwork by contemporary artist LUAP.

Our 2024 gala was a great success, raising an incredible £308,000 for children and young people's mental health. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, Marshall Wace, Bloomberg, and the Sadie Sherman Gallery, for their generous support. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who donated and supported this special evening.

Arts & Minds Gala 2022

We held our first Place2Be Arts & Minds Gala Dinner on 12 October 2022 at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Our wonderful Place2Be Ambassadors Kate Silverton and Rhys Stephenson hosted the evening. Guests enjoyed exclusive appearances from:

  • The Joe Stilgoe Trio
  • poet Zohab Zee Khan
  • artist Ricky Martin.

Guests also heard the stories of students from some of our Place2Be partner schools. Arts & Minds Gala Dinner 2022 raised over £275,000.

The Art Room

Our Art Room team specialise in using art to support and enhance children and young people’s wellbeing. The team creates projects that offer space to explore a wellbeing theme through creative art activities, stories, and conversation.
