Before getting stuck into hosting your quiz, we've got some handy info to make your planning as easy as possible to get quizzical!
Choose a date and time for your quiz.
If you’re doing it with colleagues, you could fit it into your lunch break. If your quiz is with friends and family, try and find a day that lots of people will be available.
Decide whether you’re going to do an online quiz or do it in a venue in person.
Hosting your quiz online using a platform like Zoom is quick and easy to set up – once it’s scheduled, you’re sorted!
If you're hosting your quiz in person, you’ll need to secure a venue for it. Some venues might even let you have the space at a discounted price, or for free, as you’re raising money for charity. For example, you could hold it in a pub or a town hall - there are plenty options!
The easiest way to fundraise from your event is to charge people to come and take part. To raise even more, you could have some extras on the night, like a raffle or bake sale.
Create a fundraising page and set a fundraising target.
It's quick and easy to set up a page on JustGiving, add a picture, and write a bit about you and why you're raising money for Place2Be! You can make a QR code for your JustGiving page to put on fundraising posters you might make.
Remember, anyone who is a UK taxpayer can GiftAid their donation!
It's time to invite people to your quiz!
Share your JustGiving page and the details of your quiz with your friends and family, and ask them to share it with their networks too.
Spread the word far and wide to help you raise as much as possible!
