Place2Be provides school-based emotional and mental health support services, dedicated to supporting children to give them the best life chances.

Place2Be supports children to cope with a wide range of issues from bullying, to family breakdown, to domestic violence and trauma, so that they can grow up with prospects rather than problems. Place2Be also supports parents, and offers training to build the skills of staff in schools and children's centres. 

  • Place2Be supports children through school-based emotional and mental health support services to help them overcome issues and give them the best life chances
  • Place2Be works in 257 primary and secondary schools across the UK, reaching a school population of 105,000 children
  • Place2Be supports children through both lunchtime group sessions and one-to-one counselling sessions with a Volunteer Counsellor
  • Place2Be works in primary schools, secondary schools, and also children's centres, often based in the most deprived areas of the UK
  • Place2Be provides counselling support for the parents and carers of the children in the schools they work in
  • Place2Be offers training to build the skills of staff in schools and children's centres
  • Place2Be's Volunteer Counsellors are trained or qualified counsellors or therapists who work withy children in a safe therapeutic setting within their school
  • Place2Be is a national charity that embeds itself within local communities through its presence in schools
  • Place2Be is committed to giving children the support they need, when they need it, being instantly accessible to them in school
