Place2Be’s summer work experience placement

Place2Be’s summer work experience placement

Our work experience placement aims to inspire young people to work for organisations that positively impact on child mental health.

During your work experience placement, you will work across the organisation with different teams and gain an understanding of the work we do, find out how to train to become a child counsellor and learn about how you can think about your own mental health.

What we offer

We're offering an online three-day placement between 5 July - 16 July 2021 to people aged 16 - 18 years old. This will be a remote opportunity.

During these three days, you will work online with multiple teams who are based in our Head Office to see the functions that support the work we do in schools and in doing so, develop your confidence and skills in the workplace. You will also gain insight into different career paths and professional counselling qualifications that can lead you to work in the mental health sector.

Programme aims

We have outlined the four key aims of what you can expect to achieve during your work experience placement:

  • An understanding of the essential work Place2Be does
  • Insight into how to become a child counsellor or mental health professional
  • Develop your confidence and skills in the workplace
  • Enable you to think about your own mental health and provide tools that can help you look after yourself
