Mental health services in Scotland

Mental health services in Scotland

We've worked in Scotland since 2001, creating a Place2Be in schools for children aged four and up.

Place2Be provides a safe, creative, and playful space where children and young people can talk about their emotions and difficulties so mental health problems don’t grow with them.

We work with up to 14 local authorities in Scotland to provide our in-school mental health support services. These services include one-to-one counselling in around 60 primary and high schools and outreach services to 128 schools. Place2Be supports a school community of almost 56,000 children and young people in Scotland.

Our support includes the whole school community: we are a Place2Be for all school staff and parents to get the support, knowledge, and skills they need to help children focus on their schoolwork and fulfil their potential.
