South Shields pupil takes to the BAFTA red carpet

South Shields pupil takes to the BAFTA red carpet

Ahead of Children's Mental Health Week, primary school pupil Brandon took to the BAFTA Children's Awards red carpet to ask children, head teachers and celebrities how they 'Find their Brave'.

As part of BAFTA Kids’ ongoing partnership with Place2Be, in summer 2019 the BAFTA Kids Roadshow visited Holy Trinity C of E Academy in South Shields. For one pupil, Brandon, it made a significant and lasting impression. Thanks to his enthusiasm and passion, Brandon was later given the opportunity to interview other children, head teachers and celebrities on the prestigious BAFTA Children’s Awards red carpet in London.

The BAFTA Roadshow and Children’s Awards have changed my life! I have been so inspired – I don’t want to interview people on the red carpet, I want to be interviewed on the red carpet! This has really pushed me and I feel more confident – I feel like I am really good at this. Brandon
