Place2Be launches new bursary to widen access to leadership pathways in counselling
Place2Be is pleased to announce the opening of a new bursary for our Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision to support greater access to leadership roles within the counselling profession. The bursary offers 50% off the total course fees for eligible applicants.
This initiative forms part of Place2Be’s ongoing commitment to widen participation and support individuals from underrepresented groups to access more equitable opportunities to progress into senior and supervisory positions within the mental health and counselling workforce.
Supporting the next generation of counselling leaders
The Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision provides qualified counsellors with the skills, knowledge and confidence to step into supervisory roles. The programme blends theory, reflective practice and applied skills to prepare practitioners for leadership within schools, community settings and wider therapeutic services.
By reducing financial barriers, the bursary aims to open doors for counsellors who may not otherwise have access to advanced training, which helps to diversify the profession and strengthen the pipeline of future leaders.
The Impact of our Level 6 course
Who the bursary is for
The bursary is designed to support individuals who identify as part of groups currently underrepresented in counselling leadership, including those facing financial, social or structural barriers to progression. Applicants must meet the entry requirements for the Level 6 course and demonstrate a commitment to developing their supervisory practice.
Applications now open
Applications for the bursary are now open alongside standard course applications. Successful applicants will receive 50% funding towards the full course fee.
