Place2Be announces exciting new partnership with The Happiful Foundation

Place2Be is delighted to announce our new partnership with The Happiful Foundation, a new initiative from Happiful and Counselling Directory, which has made a generous £100,000 commitment to support our work with children and young people across the UK.

Place2Be and The Happiful Foundation are committed to ending the stigma attached to mental health, raising awareness, connecting with communities and making a positive impact by ensuring that counselling is accessible and reaches groups who might not otherwise be able to access this vital mental health support.

Both organisations believe in the power of early intervention, the importance of reducing barriers to mental health support, and the need to ensure that no child or young person faces mental health challenges alone. By working together, we aim to widen access to high-quality support and create meaningful, long-term impact for children and young people and their families.

“Counselling Directory was founded in 2005 with a clear mission – to help more people access the support they need. That mission has remained at the heart of everything we do, and The Happiful Foundation is our next step in delivering on our mission. We’re incredibly passionate about supporting the work of charities offering counselling in their communities, and proud that we can now contribute directly to this vital work.” Amy-Jean Burns, CEO at Happiful

“We’re delighted to be partnering with The Happiful Foundation, whose generosity will help Place2Be strengthen our support for children and young people in school communities across the country, enabling them to thrive and flourish. Our partnership is built on the foundation of our shared belief that therapeutic support should be easily accessible to every child and young person who needs it, in a timely way, whatever their background or circumstances.” Catherine Roche, Chief Executive of Place2Be

With this support from The Happiful Foundation, Place2Be will be empowered to continue offering our essential service, ensuring we reach children when they need it most.
