FAQs
What happens during a Tandem skydive?

A Tandem skydive allows you to enjoy the exhilarating feeling of flying through the clouds at 120mph, without needing to do lots of training. You’ll be with a qualified tandem instructor for the whole of the 10,000 feet dive; you’ll jump out and free fall together until your instructor opens your parachute at about 5,000 feet before you float down together to a soft landing. It is a truly unforgettable experience.

How much does it cost to do a charity skydive for Place2Be?

Each skydive has a registration fee and a fundraising pledge, which is a minimum amount of money we ask that you raise. Don’t worry – our friendly fundraising team will be supporting you every step of the way!

The fee is usually £70 with a fundraising pledge of £450 but it can vary depending on the skydiving event and location.

Where can I skydive?

You can choose between lots of locations all in England, Scotland and Wales.

Are there any height or weight restrictions?

Yes, there are height and weight restrictions. These vary for each airfield, so please check Skyline’s information about the restrictions, or get in touch with Skyline at info@skylineevents.co.uk.

Is there an age restriction?

Yes, you have to be over 16 years old to do a skydive. Young people aged 16-17 would need to have a parental consent form on the day of their skydive. You will be able to access this parental consent form after you’ve booked your skydive.

Can I book a group skydive?

I have a disability or a medical condition – can I still skydive for Place2Be?

Skyline’s airfields will look at each case individually. Please get in touch with Skyline at info@skylineevents.co.uk who will be able to check for you.

If you have a medical condition, your doctor will need to sign your medical form.
