Helping children thrive with the support of players of People’s Postcode Lottery
Since 2014, Place2Be has received over £5 million thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery through the Postcode Children Trust. This generous funding has helped us to reach over 660 schools across the UK, providing vital mental health services to children, young people and families.
Thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery we receive annual flexible funding that allows us to respond where the need is greatest. This vital support allows us to adapt our services to meet the evolving needs of local communities, ensuring we can deliver high-quality, clinically-led interventions at the right time and in the right place for children and young people across England, Scotland and Wales.
77% of children aged 4 to 11 and 89% of young people aged 11 to 18 showed improvements in their mental health after one-to-one counselling with Place2Be.
62% of pupils’ mental health issues had less impact on their learning, as reported by their teachers.
72% of young people aged 11 to 18 said their friendships improved.
62% of children’s homelife improved after accessing Place2Be.
How does unrestricted funding help?
As pioneers of the Whole School Approach, unrestricted funding allows us to work across the whole child support system. This means we can help children not only through targeted help early but also working with their parents and carers to give them the tools to support their child. It also ensures our Safeguarding and Research & Evaluation teams can conduct their thorough work delivering essential safe, effective support and demonstrating the impact we make for children to thrive.
Thanks to the continued generosity of players of People’s Postcode Lottery we are helping children across the UK to thrive.
