What Place2Be's workforce looks like

What Place2Be's workforce looks like

At Place2Be, we are committed to creating a work environment built on equity

Equity is where everyone is equipped with the tools, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. Our goal is to level the playing field and empower each individual to reach their full potential.

We take pride in being a welcoming and inclusive organisation. Our carefully developed Equity Plan reflects this commitment, focusing on removing barriers, amplifying voices, and celebrating the unique and wonderful people who make up Place2Be. This is a snapshot of what our workforce looks like today.

How we're working towards an inclusive culture

  • Anonymised recruitment process - Our job applications are free from any identifiable information up until the pint a candidate is invited for an interview.
  • Staff networks - We actively support our colleagues forming staff networks and groups, which provide spaces where individuals can connect, and work together to champion meaningful change. For example, we have groups such as the Equality and Diversity Steering Group, the Race Forum, the Hearing Loss Group, and the Neurodiverse Group. These groups work closely with various areas of the organisation to ensure that marginalised voices are heard, valued, and integrated into all aspects of Place2Be’s work.
  • Feedback from our staff - We ask for feedback and encourage our staff to share their thoughts and feelings through regular engagement and pulse surveys. Listening to this feedback, we can drive change and ensure that Place2Be continues to be a great place to work. These surveys also help us identify and understand the voices that may not yet feel heard, so we can create a truly inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.
