Information for applicants

You will need to receive a reference from 2 people to complete your application:

one clinical academic reference*, e.g. your course tutor or supervisor (for Place2Be staff, this should be your Area Manager or School Project Manager)
one character reference.

*If you are applying for a bursary, we will accept a professional reference from a manager or an academic reference from a tutor. If you have not been in work or education in the past 3 years, you may supply a second character reference. We may ask for another reference in the future.

Neither reference can be a family relative. You are responsible for sourcing your references and ensuring the referee completes this form. This includes sourcing references from Place2Be tutors or employees.

Please forward this reference form to your referee/s, notifying them of the course of study you are applying for.

Information for referees

Please provide a reference on the applicant’s academic and general ability to undertake the proposed programme of study and school placement (if applicable).

Place2Be is a registered children’s mental health charity which provides therapeutic counselling and support to children in schools throughout the UK.

Please note that we reserve the right to share the contents of your reference with the applicant. We will contact you should this be necessary. Please include the applicant’s full name and course of study in the form below.
