Mental health services in Scotland
Mental health services in Scotland
We've worked in Scotland since 2001, creating a Place2Be in schools for children aged four and up.
Place2Be provides a safe and creative space where children and young people can talk about their emotions and any difficulties they're facing, so mental health problems don’t grow with them.
We work with 11 local authorities in Scotland to provide our in-school mental health support services in over 50 primary and secondary schools, with outreach to a further 190 schools. Place2Be supports a school community of almost 70,000 children and young people in Scotland.
Our support includes the whole school community: we provide a space for adults around children of all ages in Scotland to learn, reflect and gain confidence in supporting children and young people's mental health. By supporting the whole school community, we create systems that help children thrive.
