Our work in Scotland

Place2Be provides emotional and therapeutic services in primary and secondary schools.

Place2Be has worked in Scotland since 2001 and now reaches a school population of over 13,500 pupils and their families in 39 schools. Many of our communities face challenges like poverty and complex needs. View our list of partner schools >>

We build children and young people's resilience through talking, creative work and play. We also provide support for parents and school staff and help schools to be mentally healthy. Find out more about our whole-school approach >>

For every £1 invested, our counselling service in primary schools has the potential to return £6.20 to society, according to a report by Pro Bono EconomicsRead the estimated value for money of our counselling service in Scotland >>

Funding for our in-school service comes from a variety of sources including the Scottish Attainment Challenge, Pupil Equity Fund (PEF) and Local Authority grant funding.
