Understanding Adolescents

Duration: Half day


Adolescence is a time of significant change, and it can be difficult for adults to know how best to support young people.

This workshop looks at the social, educational, emotional and behavioural issues that can arise during this stage.

Participants will explore ways to help young people negotiate, understand, process and overcome the stresses and anxiety of growing up.

What it covers:

  • Transfer and transition issues
  • Maintaining and/or improving student wellbeing in times of transition
  • Psychological and neurological theories of adolescence
  • Coping with transition


Useful for:

  • Those working with 11-16 year olds
