Children's Mental Health Week

7-13 February 2022

About the event

Children’s Mental Health Week is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health, taking place in February each year. Schools, community groups, businesses and individuals come together to raise important awareness and vital funds to help more children and young people get the emotional support they need.

Highlights from Children's Mental Health Week 2021

We want to say a huge thank you to all the schools, organisations and individuals who got involved in Children's Mental Health Week 2021 and raised vital funds to support children’s mental health. We’re thrilled to say we’ve raised over £87,000 in total – we can’t thank our supporters enough for being a part of this.

The funds raised through the week are helping to make a difference right now to the lives of children and young people that we support. From providing counselling and support to children when they need it most, to working with parents who may be struggling, to providing invaluable mental health training to teachers and school staff.

A few highlights from the 2021 week include...

  • More than 315,000 classrooms and homes tuned in to watch our virtual assembly with BAFTA and Oak National Academy
  • Over 225,000 downloads of our resources for schools and families
  • Media coverage for the campaign included BBC Breakfast, ITV News, Lorraine, This Morning, Sky News, Channel 5 News, Radio 2's Breakfast Show, Radio 4's World at One and more...
  • Over 80,000 posts about the week on social media – and #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek trending at UK number 1 on Monday!
